  • ADF offers two types of grants.

    1. The ADF Student Achievement Grant is designed to fund projects that range in value from $500 to $2,500. This grant is typically awarded to school employees directly working with students in an academic setting. Eligible applicants include: classroom teachers, reading recovery teachers, math specialists, librarians, technology directors, deans of students, and counselors.

    2. The ADF Impact Grant is designed to award up to $10,000. Funds can be used for projects and programs that extend beyond a single classroom and may include collaborations between multiple teachers, multiple schools, and nonprofit organizations.

  • Student Achievement Grant Eligible Applicants: East Baton Rouge Parish public school employees directly working with students in an academic setting including classroom teachers, reading recovery teachers, math specialists, librarians, technology directors, deans of students, and counselors.

    Impact Grant Eligible Applicants: Impact Grants include projects and programs that extend beyond a single classroom and may include collaborations between multiple teachers, multiple schools, and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. The project or program must directly impact East Baton Rouge Parish public school students and teachers.

  • Once you complete your grant and click submit, edits cannot be made. If you feel that there is a serious error in your grant that needs attention, reach out to us via email at grants@adfbr.org.

  • The ADF grants committee typically does not fund field trips. Before you go through the process of writing the grant, email a brief description of your idea to grants@adfbr.org

  • The ADF grants committee typically does not approve funding for t-shirts.

  • The ADF grants committee typically does not approve funding for food. Email information about your event to grants@adfbr.org and we will pass it on to some of our contacts for consideration.

  • It depends. Reach out to us with the details. The ADF Grant Committee will review the circumstances and get back to you. Email grants@adfbr.org

  • The items purchased should remain as property of the school where the grant was originally funded.
