Math and Science Grants for Pre-K Teachers
The Academic Distinction Fund and the EBR Director of Pre-K Programs are pleased to announce Math and Science Grants Program for Pre-K teachers. The purpose of the grant program is to motivate and encourage Pre-K teachers to teach math and science in creative and innovative ways. Grants provide opportunities for increased hands-on strategies to enhance the teaching/learning of math and science. Grant activities assist four and five year olds in school readiness by using math and science as a springboard for learning across the curriculum. Activities help develop and strengthen an understanding and appreciation for math and science, provide direct student involvement, develop permanent math and science resources, integrate math and science into other academic disciplines and provide support for teachers to become more proficient in math and science. Applications are reviewed on a competitive basis with one grant round the 2011-2012 school year.
Eligibility: Only EBRPPSS Pre-K teacher currently participating in the ADF MASTER Teachers Program and directly instructing children is eligible to apply.
ADF would like to congratulate the 2011-2012 Math and Science Grants for Pre-K Teachers to:
