Leaders never stop learning. We're here to provide them opportunities. ADF believes in strengthening school leadership not only in the classroom, but also within the administrative areas. Teachers, principals, reading coaches and other instruction specialists should be encouraged to broaden their teaching methods by traveling to different regions, studying other successful programs, participating in workshops and seeking commuity involvement.
Leo Broering Speaker Series Named in honor of one of ADF's strongest supporters, the Leo Broering Leadership Speaker Series was proud to showcase three amazing speakers for our principals, teachers and community leaders. John Dornan, executive director of the North Carolina based Public School Forum, spoke on the art of changing educated-related public policy. Dr. Kaye Stripling talked about her ideas on dramatically increasing student achievement and reducing achievement gaps across ethnic groups and between high and low income groups. Professor of the Steinhardt School of Education at New York University, Pedro Noguera shared his ideas on education reform, diversity, and how to create a strong and vibrant public education system.
